Adjust Your Glucose Meter for More Stable Readings

Edit date:2026-06-01

Many households keep a HAINICE blood glucose meter at hand for daily blood sugar monitoring and protecting family health. However, many people overlook a simple detail: readings tend to deviate after long-term use or when replacing new test strips. In fact, regular simple calibration can keep test results stable and let you measure blood sugar with greater peace of mind. Today we’ll explain calibration in plain language — easy to learn for beginners and seniors alike.
Calibration is necessary if you use the meter frequently, switch to a new batch of test strips, or leave the device unused for a long time. It is a routine maintenance step for home blood glucose meters. Proper calibration prevents fluctuating readings that lose reference value.

1. Read the manual and prepare matching supplies before calibration

Calibration procedures vary slightly across different glucose meters. Before your first calibration or regular routine checks, refer to the official manual of the HAINICE blood glucose meter. It specifies the exclusive calibration method, compatible calibration solution and usage precautions. Always follow official guidelines.
We recommend using original matched test strips and dedicated calibration solution. Do not mix with uncertified accessories, as this will compromise calibration accuracy and lead to incorrect readings.

2. Simple two-step calibration, easy to remember

Step 1: Check and match the strip code

Insert a new test strip into the meter, and a code will pop up on the screen. Compare it with the batch code printed on the test strip vial. If they do not match, adjust the code manually via the device buttons. A matched code eliminates basic reading errors.
